Liverpool Wedding Photo Merseyside Wedding Photo © Liverpool Record Office • Merseyside Jewish Community Archive This amazing treasure is the wedding photo of the Clumpus, Finestone & Bennet families, ca1900. It comes from the Merseyside Jewish Community Archive, part of the Liverpool Record Office. Liverpool was the first organised Jewish community in the north of England, and until the mid-19th century it was the largest provincial Jewish community. The archive contains very significant community records dating back to 1722. These include synagogue records, registries, Jewish school and college records, community endeavours such as soup funds and clothing societies, the records of the Board of Guardians for the Relief of the Jewish Poor. It also includes personal papers, hence this photo.
